Welcome to our Website and Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I am Rev. Darrell D. Reid, D.D. Founder/Pastor/Singer/Evangelist, an ordained Minister of the Gospel, first by my Lord and Master Christ Jesus and secondly with New Horizon's Ministry of California. I started out serving the Lord many years ago, at the age of 15. After accepting Christ as my Savior in a Little Country Church in Apopka, Florida I took to the streets giving my testimony to all who would hear. I was also singing with my Family, the Reid Family Gospel Singers, and writing songs. We toured all over the US and in several foreign countries, singing the praises of the Lord and spreading the Good News found in the Word of God.

I met my beautiful wife Katie the summer of 1965 and we were married on May 27, 1980. She new I was called to be a minister and has alway supported me with her endless Love and Faith. Together we founded Happy Hill Ministries in 1986 with a desire to reach out to the lost lonely, hopeless and unfortunate that God puts in our path and to help them in anyway possible to find True Love with the Lord, as that is the only place that True Love, Hope and Happiness can be found. We strive to teach these to find Joy in God, Family, Life, Church, Ministry and the word of God, always remembering to teach, minister and lead by the example that Christ gave us.

God gave me a vision when I was singing with my family, and that was that I would be instrumental in establishing 7 Churches in his name. My parents Rev. Johnny D. Reid, and Rev. Geraldine Reid shared this vision with me and together with God leading, 6 of these churches have been established. The first Church is the Gospel Stable Church in Apopka, Florida founded in June of 1973. Then there is the Gospel Stable #2, #3, and #4 in Haiti, Mexico and South America. We turned the adminstration of these Churches over to local Christian oversearers once completed. My parents have gone on to be with the Lord, but with Katie and the Lord's help, I continue working on the vision and the road to Gloryland.

I Pastored the Gospel Stable Church in Apopka after Dad passed in August of 2002, and started a 5th Church Online, we called the People's Church. Then when Mom passed in September of 2006, the 6th Church, the Little Brown Church on the Hill in Apopka Florida, was founded where I continue to pastor. I can hardly wait to see what God has in store for the 7th Church, as it is the 7th Church, according to the vision, that will be the crowning jewel of them all.

At Happy Hill Ministries, it is our desire and mission to come to you whereever you are, in your Home, Church, Fellowship, or at a Special Activity or Event , and to bring to you our testimony and message through word and/or song. All we need is your invitation. It is our hope and prayer that something on this website will help encourage, edify or bless all who visit. May God Bless us All.

In 1996 James "Mentor/Fergy" Ferguson joined us as my Deacon and right arm.  I had known Fergy for quite some time, for his efforts of seeking out the lost, outcast and homeless and helping them to find, a place to stay and helping them with any other needs they may have.  I believe our joining forces was ordained and blessed by God and has strengthened our ability to help others by our combined efforts.

Posted 8/19/08  The Little Brown Church is still in need of good working sound equipment; mikes, sound board, speakers, and amps.  Thanks to everyone who has donated items to this request, and rest assured, these items will be used to acquire the needed equipment.

 

Posted 8/19/08  The Sun State Quartet will be in Concert at the Little Brown Church on the Hill, 3134 Plymouth Sorrento Road Apopka Florida starting at 6pm on September 6th.  All are invitited for a time of Good Gospel Music, and everyone is welcome.

 

Special thanks to everyone who has responded to the need of our stolen sound equipment.  We do not have a complete working system yet, but are confident God will provide.  We still need 4 speakers and a 2 mixers.  But will take whatever you can donate, that might be traded for what we do need.

 

The Doses will be at the Victory Christian Center on Sept 6th, all are invited.

 

Urgent: The Little Brown Church was burglarized this week.  The Burglar took the Sound System out of the Church, the Mixer, Speakers, cables and Mikes, a Bass Guitar, 2 Lead Guitars and other Audio equipment used for Praise and Worship.  Also, taken was the Back-up sound system that was stored in the Pastor’s Office, some grounds maintenance equipment, a leaf blower, and a weed eater, also a ten speed Bicycle, and a member’s personal car.  We are asking anyone who can help us replace these things either physically or with financial assistance to contact Pastor Darrell.  We are beefing up our Security efforts at the Church to see that this does not happen again.  God will take care of our offenders and bless those who help us.
